Heating

Heating may well be the single most significant returning expense for your aquarium or fish room. Depending on energy prices, isolation, number of tanks etc, it may be wise to heat the room rather than the tanks. This leaves - for most household - the choice between gas or electric heating. However, you can also decide to keep fish from temperate zones, which are perfectly happy in, say 16-22 degrees year-round.
