This little catfish is originally from the northern coastal areas of South America. It is native to Venezuel, Colombia and the Guyanas. It likes to browse the shallow, sandy river bottom for food particles. Occurs is loose schools. The waters can have strong flow and cooler temperatures.

This Corydoras species is often confused with and sold as C. julii. Unlike C. julii, it has curved lines on its head, not just dots. Not yet spawned in our fishroom.
