Very tiny fish, maybe 2 cm fully grown. The reddest and prettiest of the dwarf rasboras. Prefers soft water but seems to be okay in neutral circumstances. Very active, but kept in a large school.

Like B. brigittae, but slightly larger and paler. Should be kept in schools. Presumably breedable in soft water, but fry is going to be microscopic. Unfussy eaters.

A very fun fish to watch if you can see it. It mostly hiding with its conspecifics under a rock of piece of wood. Then when they smell food, they go into a frenzy. Really entertaining.

This fish is highly specialized in grazing microfilm off boulders in sun-drenched, fast-flowing rivers. To replicate this in a tank you need a strong pump and a strong light. Pretty and odd fish, fun to have, and, like most cyprinids, breedable as long as you keep they away from their eggs.

Pretty fish that comes in two rather different colour morphs: the 'normal' form as on the photo and the 'golden' variety. Temperate fish, does well on room temperature. If you manage to catch the eggs they are easy to breed.
