Boraras brigittae
Boraras brigittae
Chili rasbora
This tiny fish occurs in blackwater habitats (peat swamp and other shallow, tannic waters) in southern Borneo - a region rapidly transform by agriculture and habitation. IUCN estimates the number of mature individuals left in the wild at less than 100.000. That is not a lot for such a small creature. Could and should be bred in captivity.
